2017 Hamapalooza

GeorgiaBTA Gives Back at Hamapalooza 2017!
We made 15,000 lunches in 2016, and now GeorgiaBTA will once again give back on July 25 by making 25,000 lunches for the Action Ministries,Smart Lunch Smart Kid program.

We hope you can join us! We have plenty of great jobs for people of all skills and abilities; you can participate as a lunch-builder, supply-fetcher, trash-crusher, decoration-sticker, meal-packer, box-hauler, or even cheer-leader!  If you can help with deliveries, that would be great as we need several van-crews to deliver the meals. Come work side-by-side with us as we build lunches and new friendships!

Distribution and Relations

More than 1 million children in Georgia schools receive free or reduced-price lunch, a crucial meal that disappears in the summer. Smart Lunch, Smart Kid, through the dedication of thousands of volunteers and donors, ensures that these children are fed in the summer and on school breaks. Unlike other programs, food is taken to the children in their neighborhoods, removing the barrier of lack of  transportation. Since 2012, Smart Lunch, Smart Kid has served more than half a million healthy lunches to Georgia children. In 2015, the aim is to serve 250,000 lunches, reaching deeper into the communities.
